PC Gamer Sucks
As I’m sure you’re already aware, I’m a bit of a gaming advocate. I love them all, from PC to console. As such, I like to keep up-to-date on what’s going on in the gaming world, in part by reading a few select magazines that I think are all the bees knees. That is at least until recently.
Yes ladies and gentleman, PC Gamer officially sucks. There was a time where this magazine was the end-all, be-all of PC gaming news and reviews. But lately, a majority of the editorials and a good number of other articles are spent taking cheap sucker punches at their console brethren.
Here’s just one (of many) excerpts from the most recent issue of PC Gamer that I’m speaking about.
I played through BioShock once on the Xbox 360 (only because it was playable before the launch date!) and loved it so much that I’m playing through it all over again on the PC, which looks soooo much crisper and more detailed!-Greg Vederman, Editor-In-Chief
No fucking shit, asshat! The reason it looks crisper and more detailed is because your pounding that shit out on a rig with dual nVidia 8000 series cards in an SLI configuration (probably costing you well over $1,000). And even that aside, this magazine is called PC Gamer. Not, the Why PC Games will Always be Better than Consoles, Specifically the Xbox 360 Monthly.
We’re not stupid; we know that PC games will (given the latest hardware) always look better and run at higher frames than their console counterparts. You don’t have to educate us of that fact at every damn turn. Or are you that frightened about the critical lack of innovation that has been present in PC games over the last few years and have degenerated into a pack of self-preserving graphic whores?
So, in summary, stop trying to justify your God damn existance PC Gamer, and just review some fucking games. Just a thought. Thank you.
